More congratulations go to Mandy O'Donnell on bringing back two silver medals representing Scotland in the Junior Under -18s Commonwealth Games. A fantastic achievement for Mandy.

Mandy O'Donnell Just a wee note to let you know that Mandy O'Donnell has now started her trials for the under 18's commonwealth games to be held in Australia in November this year. First trial was held at Stirling Indoor Bowling Club on 3th June and she played very well.
Mandy was also nominated by her School Tynecastle High for an award for Young
Sports Person of 2003/2004 their were 25 nominations from all schools for all
different sports. They were invited to attend the Edinburgh City Chambers for
a reception with the Lord Provost were the winner would receive a trophy for
sporting excellence and a cheque for £100 first time someone has been
nominated for bowls. All the nominees were read out and what level they had
achieved at there sport there was a lot of good talent and sportspeople there
and guess what Mandy won it. Yes she beat all those football
players and rugby players so bowling is on the move and Tynecastle High School
are now going to include it in their sports programme next year and want Mandy
to help get it up and running.
Her trophy is a cracker. Congratulations Mandy.
Adult/Junior Triples The Adult/junior triples will take place on 26th June. It will be run on a round robin basis with the closing date Friday the 19th. If you would like to enter please attach your name to the list at Bainfield, or email us at bowling@bainfield.co.uk.
