Winner of the Ladies Championship 2005 was Anna Anderson
who beat Alison Ross in an excellent final.

NEWS UPDATES 2005 - Ladies Section
13/6/05 Well done to Heather Stoddart & Alison Ross for winning the SWBA District final in the 4 Bowl Pairs and to Audrey Morrison, Anne McNair, Edith Donnelly & Marion Dickson for winning the Senior Fours final. 8/6/05
Eileen Lauder in the singles as well as the Fours in the
East of Scotland WBA championships are through to the next round on Tuesday
14th June at Caledonian and Braid respectively against Currie in the Singles
and Maitland in the Fours. Good Luck to all. Unfortunately the Triples were
defeated by Gilmerton MW last Thursday.
In a close game against Maitland in the Top Ten on Monday
6th June Bainfield lost by 3shots on the aggregate.

Congratulations to Audrey Morrison, Anne McNair, Edith
Donnelly & Marion Dickson on getting through to the district semi-finals in
the SWBA Senior Fours to join Eleanor Campbell & Liz Waddell in the 2 Bowl
Pairs and Heather Soddart & Alison Ross in the 4 Bowl Pairs. Good luck to
everyone at Colinton on Saturday 11th June. Hard luck Mandy on losing in the
Junior Singles on Sunday 29th May.
On Tuesday 31st May Eileen Lauder plays in the first round
of the East of Scotland WBA singles and Lena McIntosh, Muriel Smith, Mary
Stott and June Robb in the Fours. The Triples of Molly Black, Susan Allan and
Marion Dickson play on Thursday 2nd June. Good luck to everyone.
Good Luck also to everyone in the second round of the EWBA
top 10 on Monday 6th June against Maitland.

Triples on 1st May. Well done Hazel in your first year in the Senior section.
The runners up were Margaret Adair's team.
Despite the appalling weather on Wednesday 25th May
everyone enjoyed their first 'Friendly' visit to Bankton Mains B.C. in
Livingston. The six rinks bravely played 10 ends in non-stop rain and although
Bainfield tried their best they lost by 20 shots. The hospitality provided by
the host club was first class. We hope to continue this 'Friendly' with a
Home one year and an Away the next.
